What is the School of Soccer?

School of Soccer

Our Story: From Pee Wee Soccer Stars to School of Soccer

Originally known as Pee Wee Soccer Stars, our school was founded in 2010 by Coach Steve and a small group of toddlers at Camels Back Park. While the name of our program has evolved over the years, our coaching staff, teaching style, and passion for the game have always remained the same.

Many of our original little players, who started with us at just 2 years old, are still part of our program today. As these young athletes grew and progressed through our curriculum, we recognized that we, too, needed to grow and adapt to meet their needs.

And so, the School of Soccer was born—continuing our mission to foster skill, confidence, and a love of the game for players of all ages. We now also have North Boise FC  for those players looking to play competitively, but stay apart of our family.

We offer soccer programs all year round!

The 3 Pillars: School of Soccer
The School of Soccer is divided into 3 stages of development. Each stage represents a transition phase for our young students. After you complete the three pillars you graduate into our next program: our North Boise Futbal Club (NBFC).

School of Soccer - Kiwi
Ages 2-5
This is our toddler and pre-k development program. The Kiwi is the foundation of our school and instills the love of soccer at an early age.

SoS Academy level 1 - Owl
u6/u7
This wing of our program is a vital stage for developing kids that play with confidence and sound fundamentals. We encourage dribbling and technical skills beyond anything else. The wise Owl represents the transition from the toddler program (Kiwi) to the young student of the game.

SoS Academy level 2 - Raptor
u8/u9 & u10-u13
The Raptor is the second stage in the evolution of the Academy player. What was once a Kiwi who couldn't fly, is now a powerful bird of prey. The priority is still on technical skills, but the foundation for team play is now introduced. Movement, spacing, communication, proper techniques for receiving the ball and accurate passing are developed and perfected throughout the course of the season. We also offer level 2 u10-u13 practice & play for players who do not want to play competitively.

North Boise Futbol Club (NBFC)-
Competitive

Our NBFC is our last stage in our program. This age group is affiliated in the IYSA League and we have both semi-competitive and competitive options in the u9-u15 age divisions. Try outs are the beginning of June. If you miss the tryout date please contact us.
